Depending on your location we can deliver locally or use a courier service.

Local Delivery

If you live within the Edinburgh area we can deliver your order with our Delivery Van. This service is available Tuesday - Saturday. Where the order is less than £40 there is a small delivery charge based on location:

Postal Delivery
 
We use a next day courier service (subject to produce availability) to ensure you receive your order promptly (however, during busy periods we cannot guarantee this).  Delivering mainly to UK mainland, however we can organise special deliveries - email your request and we will see what we can do orders@findlaysthebutchers.co.uk 
 
For Mainland United Kingdom the standard postal delivery is £6 up to 1kg and £8 up to 10kg. For customers from Northern Ireland there is a set postage fee of £13. To ensure meats freshness we delivery next day for all orders received before 12pm (subject to availabilty).  Our delivery days are Wednesday/Thursday/Friday.  If you required a Saturday delivery there is an extra supplement of £6.
 
We vacuum pack all our meats to ensure they stay fresh and it also saves space in your fridge or freezer. It works by temporarily suspending the meat from breathing, so it can’t react with air around it.  What you’ll notice is that when you first open the pack, the meat will have a slightly unusual colour and smell. Don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong, just unwrap it and let it stand for about half an hour. The changes are caused by the lack of oxygen around the meat, so once it’s open to the air for a little while the smell will disappear and the colour will bloom. 
 
Next, we pack your meat in our special keep-cool boxes. They look pretty good, but more importantly, they keep everything nicely chilled. Each one’s lined with insulating polystyrene to regulate temperature and cushion the meat, and cool blocks to keep the temperature just right until the meat arrives with you.
